The Young Democrats of Bryan County welcome you!  An affiliate group of the Young Democrats of Georgia and the BCDC, the YDBC is a vibrant group of young people working together to build a better community in Coastal Georgia.  Here's an important message from the group's President, Mia Popovich:

Hi, I'm Mia Popovich, a Bryan County resident for the past 8 years. Even as a young child, my interest has always been in self-advocating and caring for the community around me. I have been fortunate to have a parent that has instilled in me the values of empathy, kindness, and care. Now that I am in high school, I believe I am ready to take a leadership role of my own in the community.

As a result, I am very pleased to announce that I have formed a Young Democrats of Bryan County chapter under the guidance and support of the Young Democrats of Georgia organization and the Bryan County Democratic Committee.

The primary goal of this group is to motivate younger people to get involved in the policies and issues that drive our county. I want to give the youth of Bryan County a place where they can join others to advocate for the changes that concern us most. Additionally, we aim to create opportunities for discussions, events, and activities that align with our values and objectives for the future. Together, we can actively participate in shaping the future of our community and advocating for progressive ideals.

I’m looking for other like-minded people from high school to young adulthood that want to get involved and be a more active part of their community. Whether it’s volunteering to clean up local areas, rallying to support the causes we believe in, and community- building events, I believe it is vital that young people are engaged in directing their own future.

For those interested, join me by following our Instagram page (@youngdems.bryan) where you can DM me with any questions.

I’m excited at the opportunity to build an active and vibrant group of young people in Bryan County!

Mia Popovich, President, Young Democrats of Bryan County
